Stacey Day - Sparkle



Students will learn to master a modern Cathedral Window style of piecing and folded curves in two sizes. The quilt layout combines the modern concepts of minimalism, negative space, and alternate grid work to create a shower of stars.

The workshop is being offered on Friday, March 22nd for a maximum of 12 people, based on a first come-first serve basis.

Stacey Day Workshop Supply List

  • Sewing Machine with power cord and foot pedal
  • Machine needles (75/11 or 80/12 work great)
  • Pins
  • rotary cutter
  • 6.5" square grid ruler
  • 6.5" or 8.5" x 24" rectangle grid ruler
  • 18"x 24" cutting mat
  • matching thread
  • bobbins with thread ready to go
  • scissors or thread snips
  • Flatter or Best Press (optional)
  • 8 Fat Quarters for Large Diamonds, varying from medium to dark (yellow, light blue, medium blue, aqua, turquoise, sapphire, indigo, coral were used in the sample)
  • 4 Fat Eighths for Small Diamonds in low volume colors (cream, blond, pink and ultra light blue were used in the sample)
  • 3 1/2 yards background fabric
  • 1/2 yard binding (you don’t have to bring to class)
